ETYMOLOGIE

The creator of the Etymologie brand became interested in skincare when she herself was suffering from acne. Unlike most people, her acne didn't go away in adulthood, it actually got worse. Treating her own sensitive, cystic acne-prone skin was her initial motivation for launching Étymologie, although its formulas are aimed at all skin types and are by no means exclusive to those struggling with acne.

The brand's products are greatly influenced by the designer's Swiss origins. Natural flora and the way Swiss medicine blends traditional pharmaceuticals and natural remedies are very much present in the composition of Étymologie's products.
