RIGHTFUL OWNER designer Rose has been in love with clothes all her life, but like all relationships, this love of clothes has gone through many changes and evolutions. RIGHTFUL OWNER was born of her desire to recapture that exciting feeling of falling in love with clothes that she had as a child. This girl dressed for love, without knowing what was cool, chic or sexy.
Rose comes from a long line of seamstresses and is inspired by them. Her great-great-aunt Ciara was an incredible seamstress, and her great-grandmother Fortunata was a milliner. Because life was far too hard for these women to have their own businesses, Rose knows that they look down on her and wish her luck in whatever she creates.
RIGHTFUL OWNER makes garments in small series and to order, many of them sewn by Rose herself with care, patience and love. She uses second-hand and vintage fabrics wherever possible to create truly unique pieces.
